Cleaner in Blackpool

Blackpool is a seaside resort on the Irish Sea coast of England. It’s known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters. Built in 1894, the landmark Blackpool Tower houses a circus, a glass viewing platform and the Tower Ballroom, where dancers twirl to the music of a Wurlitzer organ. Blackpool Illuminations is an annual light show along the Promenade.

Area guide

For entertainment, atmosphere and character, there are few places that can beat Blackpool as a seaside town! Here’s a short guide we’ve put together about living in Blackpool.
Where to live
Stanley Park, Poulton-le-Fylde and Lytham St. Anne’s are arguably the most sought after areas to live in and around Blackpool. Loads of improvements done to Marton Moss and Staining too, with many new developments aiming to meet demand for properties with more space – particularly larger gardens, with some new developments showing off properties with gardens of over an acre!
Bispham, Cleveleys and Fleetwood are also popular residential areas and you can easily access the seafront from all of them! Bispham is famed for being the start of the Blackpool Illuminations and form the cliffs, boasts some of the most beautiful seaside views in the area. Cleveleys has undergone lots of modernisation over recent years and now has a fantastic seafront, popular with both locals and holidaymakers.
Fleetwood is one of the largest towns in the vicinity of Blackpool. It has a large outdoor shopping centre, Freeport, and its Georgian terraces are stunning! Interestingly, Fleetwood was one of the most visited places in the North during the reign of Queen Victoria. That was before Blackpool became the tourist hub that it is today. It has a hotel called The North Euston, where a train line once ran directly from London Euston!
Travelling around
Of course, it’s great to live in an area with so much to offer. However, being able to easily travel to each place is an even bigger bonus! Luckily, M55 motorway, which links the town to the M6, serves Blackpool well. There are many car parks located throughout the town centre. Blackpool’s train station is on direct route from most major stations across the UK, including London Euston! Blackpool’s bus system is great, travelling North as far as Fleetwood and South as far as Lytham St. Anne’s!
And how could we forget the famous Blackpool tram! There’s 11 miles of seafront tramway. The modernisation of this was completed in 2012 after a 4 year project. This route will transport you from Fleetwood right the way South to Starr Gate (near The Pleasure Beach). It’s safe to say that the Blackpool tram is an institution!
What to do
Blackpool is Britain’s favourite seaside resort, full to the brim with exciting attractions. Find white knuckle rides for the thrill seekers, at the Pleasure Beach, or slip and slide around on the world’s longest indoor roller-coaster waterslide. Animal lovers, you haven’t been forgotten either! Head over to Blackpool Zoo for 32 acres of spacious enclosures and plenty of places for the children to run wild too!
If you fancy a dance, why not a pay a visit to the stunning Blackpool Tower Ballroom? Alternatively, if you’re feeling brave (and not too scared of heights), you must take a trip up to the top of Blackpool Tower. Look up and down the entire coast and onto the Irish Sea, through the glass viewing platform, which stretches the entire width of the tower!
The North, Central and South piers also offer heaps of entertainment for all ages from 2p machines to fairground rides. However if the sun is shining, why not take a picnic to Stanley Park – only 10mins in the car from the centre of town!
If you’re a golf lover, you’ll be pleased to hear Blackpool hosts some fantastic golf courses too! We’ve included a list of a few of them here:
